Our guide will transport you in one of our air-conditioned cars to your Delhi hotel (your choice of Standard, Superior or Luxury), for your first night in India.

Day 1 – arrive at Indira Gandhi International airport to be met by your Shine Gold Tours India guide and driver. You’ll be transported in air-conditioned comfort to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, there may be time for sightseeing in Delhi. Sights in Delhi include the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Spice Market, Raj Ghat, Gandhi Smitri, Qutb Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lodi Gardens, President’s House, Government Secretariat Buildings, India Gate, Lotus Temple, and many more, depending on your interests. Overnight: 1 twin/double room in Delhi.

Day 2 – after breakfast there will be time for a short city tour of Delhi before you are driven in air-conditioned comfort to Jaipur, the Pink City, arriving in time for dinner at your hotel (or your guide will gladly make restaurant recommendations that suit your budget and dietary requirements). Overnight: 1 twin/double room in Jaipur.

Day 3 – sightseeing in Jaipur will include the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Amber Fort, Hawai Mahal and Water Palace. Jaipur is also a great place for shopping for rugs, silks and jewellery, and for visiting textile factories to see artisans hand-printing fabrics, and potteries to see artists decorating exquisite plates and tea sets. Overnight: 1 twin/double room in Jaipur.

Day 4 – after breakfast you will be taken in air-conditioned comfort to Agra, calling at Fatehpur Sikri on the way. This is the abandoned capital of the Mughal Empire and one of the three World Heritage sites in Agra. Arrive in Agra in time to see the Taj Mahal at sunset. Overnight: 1 twin/double room in Agra.

Day 5 – you may wish to rise early to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. After breakfast, visit Agra Fort where Shah Jahan was imprisoned by his son, and from where he could gaze on the distant Taj Mahal which he had built in memory of his wife Mumtaz. It will then be time to return to Delhi in air-conditioned comfort. You may wish to see some of the sights of Delhi by night such as India Gate, Raj Path and Connaught Place. Overnight: 1 twin/double room in Delhi.

Day 6 – you will be transferred to IGI Airport for your onward or homeward flight.
