Birding in Corbett National Park and Nainital
Day 1–
Arrive at Delhi Indira Gandhi Airport, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your flight time, visit nearby birding sites to spot species like Babbler, Bulbul, Kingfishers, and Parakeets. An evening visit to the floodlit India Gate can expect to produce sightings of White-rumped Needletails.

Day 2 –
After breakfast, you will proceed to Fort Unchagaon, Garhmukhteshwar, where the lodge staff will warmly greet you with a refreshing welcome drink.Subsequently, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the picturesque grounds and the nearby lake. Following this, indulge in a delicious lunch served in the cool and airy first-floor dining room.
Later in the afternoon, embark on a guided bird-watching walk and return just in time to enjoy a delightful dinner. Afterward, you might choose to relax with a game of billiards to end the day. Meanwhile, as you wander through the lodge grounds, keep an eye out for vibrant Peacocks, Oriental White-eyes, and Indian Grey Hornbills, which add to the enchanting atmosphere of your stay.

Day 3 –
Today, enjoy bird and animal spotting en route to meet your SGTI driver and guide for the journey to Nainital. The drive takes you through stunning mountain scenery in the Kumaon Hills, with bird-watching opportunities along the way. Arrive at Naini Retreat in time for dinner. During your stay, enjoy full-day bird-watching excursions with a packed lunch, stroll to Tiffin Top, and ride the cable car for views of the snow-capped Himalayas. Excursions to Pangot, Cheena Peak, and Sal-Tal offer sightings of Himalayan and Rufous Belly Woodpeckers, Great Barbet, Himalayan Griffon Vulture, and Red-billed Blue Magpie.
Overnight days 3 to 5 Naini Retreat, Nainital
Day 6 –
After an early morning bird-watching walk, return for a hearty breakfast and prepare for the transfer to Corbett National Park. Along the way, you may pause for scenic views or quick stops as needed. Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely lunch before proceeding to Tiger Camp Resort. Later in the day, set out on an evening bird-watching walk to explore the area’s natural beauty further.
Over the next three days, enjoy morning and afternoon birding walks and safaris through riverbanks, jungle edges, and scrublands, spotting species like Redstarts, Scarlet Minivet, Nuthatch, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, Himalayan Woodpecker, Kingfishers, Laughing Thrushes, and Red Jungle Fowls.
End your stay with a guided safari to tick off missed species or revisit favorite spots.
Overnight days 6 to 7 at Tiger Camp Resort
Day 8 –
Begin your morning with a guided birding experience around Corbett National Park. Afterward, return to Tiger Camp Resort to enjoy a relaxing lunch. Following lunch, you can unwind briefly before preparing for your transfer back to Delhi.

Day 9 –
Transfer to IGI Airport Delhi for your onward flight.
